Privacy and cookies

This notice explains how Franchise Suppliers handles information when you browse the site, contact us, use an account, subscribe to the newsletter or buy a listing plan. Last updated 27 October 2026.

Who is responsible

Franchise Suppliers is operated by Watts Digital Consulting Ltd, company number 14574775, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: #3042 275 New North Road, London, England, N1 7AA. For a privacy question or request, use our contact form and mark your message “Privacy”.

Messages

The contact form collects your name, email address, business details and message, plus the submission time, page address, IP address and browser information. Entries are stored in the website’s database and a copy is emailed to our mailbox so we can reply. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive information.

Accounts, submissions, claims and corrections

If you create an account we store your name, email address and password (encrypted), the listings you manage and the requests you send, such as submissions, ownership claims, edits and corrections. To check a claim we may compare the details you give with the business’s own website. Correction and removal requests can be sent without an account; if you leave an email address we use it only to reply about that request.

Business listings

Listings describe businesses, shows and organisations from their own published information: names, websites, office addresses, business phone numbers and the services they offer. Where a business publishes a role email address such as info@ or enquiries@, we may store it privately to contact the business about its listing; it is not shown on the site. We do not store named individuals’ personal email addresses from websites. Anyone can ask us to correct or remove a listing.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address, when you subscribed and when you confirmed. We send a confirmation email first and only start the newsletter once you confirm. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops further emails.

Payments

Listing plans are sold by Watts Digital Consulting Ltd through WooCommerce on this site. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We keep order and subscription records, billing details and invoices for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.

Why we use information

We use enquiries to reply and to add or correct listings; account information to run your account and listings (to perform our agreement with you); newsletter subscriptions with your consent; payment records to provide the plan you bought and meet legal obligations; and analytics in our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. A contact enquiry is not a newsletter subscription.

Analytics and cookies

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand page use, visits and device and browser patterns. Analytics is on when you first visit. Choose “Reject analytics” in the cookie notice to turn it off, or use “Manage cookies” at the foot of any page to change your choice later. The site stores your cookie choice, and Google Analytics uses browser identifiers such as _ga cookies when enabled. The analytics setup sends page paths rather than URL query strings, and Google Signals and advertising personalisation are switched off.

If you sign in or start a checkout, WordPress and WooCommerce set essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms and remember your basket. These are needed for the service you asked for and cannot be switched off. Listing pages count views and website clicks in aggregate for members; this uses no cookies and stores no personal information.

Service providers

The website uses managed hosting administered through xCloud, Cloudflare for web delivery and security, Emailit to send emails, Google Workspace for our mailbox and Google for Analytics. Stripe processes card payments. These providers operate internationally, so processing may take place outside the UK, including in Europe and the United States, under appropriate safeguards.

Storage and your rights

Form entries are kept until they are no longer needed to deal with the matter. Account information is kept while your account is open; you can ask us to close it. Depending on the circumstances you can ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information, or object to how we use it, using the contact form. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
