Editorial policy

Supplier details come from the company’s own website: the services it offers, whether it works with franchisors, franchisees or both, the sectors it serves, any fixed-fee packages it publishes and where it is based. Show dates and venues come from the organiser’s official website. We use exhibitor lists, association member lists and search results only to find businesses, then check each one at its own site. We do not copy listings from other directories or import third-party databases.

A listing shows membership of the British Franchise Association or another franchise body only when that body’s own published directory lists the business, and we show the date we checked. We do not take a business’s word for its membership, and a membership mark is not an endorsement by us or by the association.

Every listing shows the date we last checked it against its source. We recheck listings at least once a year, and sooner when a business, organiser or reader tells us something has changed. A show’s page always shows the current edition; where an organiser has not announced dates, we say so rather than guess.

Listings are compiled independently and published unclaimed. A claimed listing means an account authorised by the business can propose changes, which an editor reviews. Being listed, claimed or checked is not an endorsement, a quality assessment or a recommendation.

Businesses can buy a Bronze, Silver or Gold plan. Paid members appear above free listings and carry a member badge, Gold members can appear in labelled featured panels, and links on paid listings are marked as sponsored. News stories and guides are written by the Franchise Suppliers Team from published sources, and each one links to its primary source. Unless a piece says otherwise, it is desk research: we do not claim to have used a supplier, reviewed its work or attended a show. Guides are general information, not legal, financial or tax advice, and we update them when their sources change.

If something is wrong, use our free corrections form or contact us. We check each request against the official source and update the listing and its check date when we make a change. Corrections and removal never depend on payment.
